The Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal stands in the city of Agra, in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Yamuna River.
It is regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world. The Taj is the most beautiful monument built by the Mughals, the Muslim rulers of India. It was built by the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal.
The construction of Taj Mahal started in the year 1632. It took approximately 22 years to build it. About 22,000 workers were employed in its construction. Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble.It was completed in 1648 at a cost of 32 Million Rupees (approx US $68000).
Its wonderful beauty and amazing architecture make it the most widely known structure in the world. It attracts from 2 to 4 million visitors annually, with more than 200,000 from overseas

Sears Tower
The Sears Tower is a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. Standing at 1,450 feet and 110 stories high, Sears Tower is the tallest building in North America and the third tallest building in the world. It was designed by Bruce Graham, Owings and Merrill.
To provide stability against high winds, architect Bruce Graham used a new form of tubular construction for Sears Tower. Steel frames with bronze-tinted glass curtain walls were used to cover the building. Construction of the Sears Tower started in August 1970 and was completed and opened on May 3, 1973.
The tower was completed for $160 Million and used 76,000 tons of steel and 2.5 million cubic feet of concrete. The building, all together weighs more than 222,500 tons.
The Sears Tower has been climbed up twice, by Dan Goodwin in 1981 and by Alain Robert in 1999.
The Sears Tower has become one of America's most iconic skyscrapers and is a famous tourist attraction in North America.
